Laura's appliqué (or fabric collage) is very smartly done, it's not making patterns or simple scenery designs but more intricate, real life happenings, people and expressions, such as this ice cream van scene, everything cut out carefully and sown, no pens or pencils just fabrics and thread.
A scene that makes you think Japanese, someone stood under a gentle tree, wearing what looks to be a kimono, but what Is that in his hand? A remote?
I may try to mimic her work at some point, though her style would not be best suited for my 'hair' idea, it could fit well with my scars and stitches idea.
