Stitched Wounds
of course there are other ways to close a wound, one way is including staples but stitching looks.. neater at least to me, it doesn't look as painful as a bunch of big metal staples.
yes stitches can look pretty gory and plain nasty, but the way they tug the skin and help the wound to heal- no matter how big- is fascinating. Skin is always- and should be- a different colour to the soft muscle and tissue underneath, but that does help it give contrast, the crimson red is more noticeable than the skin tone of this particular patient.
