Art Nouveau

The name means 'new art' and is a style which is inspired by natural forms and structures.

For example this would seem to be inspired by wood, bark or even water and the flow of it, it really depends how you look at it.

Maison de l'Art Nouveau or house of new art, was a gallery dedicated to modern art in Paris and was initiated by a German art collector named Siegfried Bing. The fame of his gallery only increased by the 1900 Exposition Universelle, a world fair held in Paris, which celebrated the passed achievements of the century.

Art Deco

Art Deco was said to represent wealth, faith in society and glamour, It was described by Historian Bevis Hillier, "an assertively modern style that ran to symmetry rather than asymmetry".

It made It easier to mass produce its form, with simple shapes, as machines could be used to quicken any process.

simplifying form and making everything stream lines. zest colour and playfulness as well as adaptable in all cultures, art deco was about turning life into art.
